The holiday house of the mill “Moulin de Barigné” set on 130m² in the beautiful countryside of the Loire Valley near Le Mans comprises a studio flat and a miller's house from the 18th century. 

Loué is located close to Le Mans in the department of the Sarthe, one of the most interesting areas of Western France. Its central, accessible location allows day trips to the sea and lakes, monasteries, the 24H race of Le Mans and the loire castles. An ideal holiday destination for families, nature lovers and anglers …

The Sarthe, rich in lakes with picturesque villages, many small castles, monasteries and the famous racing town Le Mans, is centrally located but also close to Brittany and the Atlantic ocean.

Our guest houses:

The miller's house and the studio flat, in the converted barn, are two separate 19th-century buildings, with their own entrances and gardens, ensuring privacy.

The tranquility of your own area is independent of the other guest house. Both houses are separated by a hedged area and a small entrance gate. The visitors share all areas for sports: such as a pool, a table tennis table and a basketball court.

Studio Flat

The Studio Flat features: 130m² on the ground floor, 50m² large dining room kitchen, a comfortable sofa corner, two bedrooms and a large spacious bathroom.

The bedroom with sleeping arrangements allows space for 4 -5 people. The atmosphere of the apartment is characterized by its owner, a visual artist and sculptor.

Millers House Le Mans Holiday

Miller's House

The Miller's house, a typical country house, breathes the spirit and atmosphere of the old France. The house still has the original cotto tiles, pine wood floors and the old stone fireplaces from the 19th century.

The Miller's House leaves space for up to 7 people: 3 double rooms, one single room, one room with two single beds and a spacious bathroom.

The garden includes a pool, a basketball court, a table tennis table and a basketball field. We provide kayaks and bicycles for the simplest use.                                                     The outside sitting area and barbecue can be used to enjoy late summer nights. Both houses are separated by a hedged area and a small entrance gate.

Studio Flat

  • The ground floor apartment is divided into 2 bedrooms, a large living room 50qm² kitchen.

  • Two bedrooms and a large bathroom. Bedroom with sleeping arrangements for 4 -5 people

  • The large bedroom with 3 sleeping options has an additional small outdoor patio and a second entrance surrounded by a hedge.

  • The large kitchen has everything you need: dishwasher, stove and oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, Senseo coffee machine, plenty of pots and cutlery.

  • In the living area are: a big long dining table in the middle of the room (seating options for up to 8 people, if the two holiday houses are booked together), a separate sitting area with a sofa, armchairs and TV, board games and literature for all ages, a fireplace for the cooler season and firewood in the garden

  • Images and objects hang on the walls, giving the room the feel of a studio space.

Millers House

  • 1 bathroom with a bathtub and shower and an extra guest toilet on the 1st floor

  • Just a quick note to say that we all thouroughly enjoyed staying at the Müllerhaus last week. It was fantastic to have a lovely quiet location, so much area for the children to play in, a swimming pool, lovely village and especially the canoe for a quick paddle along the river

  • After many years of Provence and Brittany, it was our first encounter with the Sarthe and again we experienced beautiful France. The house is close to Le Mans and not far from a small village. There were 4 adults and 3 children there. The house leaves nothing to be desired. Everything is available and should something be missing, the landlord is immediately available.

  • Thanks to the pool and river with canoes in front of the door, the two 14-year-old boys were always busy. This allowed us to really enjoy the cozy house, the garden and the surrounding area. Everything you need (bakery, butcher, SuperU, gas station, etc.) is right in town. In the vicinity there are ruins, castles, caves, bathing lakes, rivers, cozy towns, weekly markets ... If you want to drive a little further, you can visit the beach in the Normandy area on the Atlantic or on the Loire in 1.5 - 2 hours.

  • We were also surprised when we learned how easy it is to travel to Paris, from Le Mans. The local train station has several routes through the day that you can choose from and is fairly low priced. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to indulge in the countryside of France. The family is also helpful and pleasant to be around. I look forward to coming again in the near future.
